Dear IAC Members,

I hope everyone had a nice Labor Day Weekend. As you know the club was closed for kithcen repairs and remodeling from the 26th of August to September 4th. Thanks to the cooperation of the volunteers and the House Committee chair they did a great job at coordinating the repairs. I wanted to thank Anthony Oddo, Frank Giancola, Don Capraro, Frank Tavenese, Red, Peter Trimboli, Stan Martucci, Sam Collura and Pete Pila for their help. In addition thnks go to Jose and his brother for hooking up the kitchen sink and also our custodial care person Poncho for helping. This was great teamwork.

We also want to acknowledge the dedicated service drinen people that are seldom on the front line: our Comptroller Phil Carlino and the Treasurer Dario Basso. Thanks for keeping the numbers going.

Also if you already had been at the club you might have noticed the new carpet. Boy! What a difference in ambience. As always please remember to come and eat in the Dining Room and bring your freinds. This invitation is extended to all. The new chef is very much in tune with the needs of the club and everyone is commenting on the great food. Remeber that the ballroom and any other rooms are available for banquets. It had been approved by the BOD and the President that in the future all food and beverages are to be supplied by the IAC without exceptions so that we can strat making more revenue for the club. i wanted to thank Peter Trimboli and Andy Milgliorini for producing the monthly newsletter in the past. You might notice a new format as we have a new editor. If you have anything that you might want to publish please either e-mail it at binamhp@aol.com or you can fax it to (702) 798-9910 attention Cynthia Deriquito at this time. All advertisers in the newsletter please mail or drop off your business cards to the club for next month's newsletter. Please note that as of January 1st due to cost of printing and stamps we need to charge a small monthly fee of $10.00 per month or $90.00 for the year. Mail your advertisement payment in December for publishing in Juanuary. We are also going to feature a member per month. So, if you want to be featured please call Bina Portello by the 15th of each month and it will be first come first serve basis.

Remember the upcoming events: October 6th Rummage Sale at IAC parking lot. You may have a table for $10.00 and or you may donate items fof the sale. October 13th Columbus Day Ball. Tickets are on sale now please see Joe Tegano. Also there will be two remainder conversational Italian classes, the 20th and 27th of October. Special thanks go to Fred Korte for donating $3500 in memory of his wife towards the carpet in the dining rooms. Fred was the first Treasurer of the IAC. Thanks Fred you made a difference with your donation.
